Gerry and Arjen met online for the first time in April, 2000.

Gerry was in the Netherlands during that time as an aupair in the village of Zeewolde. Arjen was assigned to a ICT project within KPN, the biggest Dutch telecommunications company.

One quiet day at home Arjen started a chat with Gerry. Initially we exchanged a few sentences but were then cut off by some technical reason. The next day we chatted again and we have been talking daily to each other since then.

We met in real life the first time at May 13th, 2000. No need to say sparcs flew and before we knew we had become couple.

Gerry returned back to Bulgaria in September that year. We managed to keep the relationship going even though we were seperated by over 2300 km. I visited Gerry and her family a few times in Bulgaria and Gerry spent 3 months with me during the summer of 2001.

Gerry came back to Holland early June of 2002. We started living together happily in our appartment in Haarlem.

August 24th 2003 our son Alexander was born. He's the greatest treasure to us. And 22 August 2004 Gerry and I married in Bulgaria in the presence of our families.
